Rhythm apps / online games

Hi–several students don’t have printers for handwritten work, and so here are some resources for online games and apps for practicing rhythm.

The app suitable for beginners I tested was Rhythm Teacher; it moves through each type of note value.

Here are some computer games in case student doesn’t have a gizmo (tablet/phone). Most require Flash Player, so you can’t use Chrome as the browser.

Easier:

Here you tap the rhythm to make a famous piece play; it helps to already know the song.

http://www.musictechteacher.com/music_quizzes/music_quizzes.htm – there are several rhythm games of varying levels, some suitable for beginners.

Tougher – for good gamers with keyboard practice, where different keys have different jobs and you press at the same time.

https://fizzd.itch.io/rhythm-doctor – needs Adobe Flash Player, so use in Firefox / Explorer, not Chrome.
